For fifty years, Michele Pellegrino has portrayed the characters and landscapes of the furthest-flung corners of Northwest Piedmont and of the Franco-Provengal and Occitan regions, in many ways of-fering a contrast to established narratives. This work of his is presented as a coherent and complex opus, inviting readings on various levels and at times opposing interpretations.
